Sóller Mallorca

Sóller is one of those places in Mallorca that captivate you from the very first moment. Nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by the Tramuntana Mountains, this town combines an authentic atmosphere with stunning views and delicious local cuisine.

The Famous Sóller Tram to Port de Sóller

One of the town’s biggest highlights is the historic wooden tram connecting Sóller with Port de Sóller. Operating since 1913, this charming tram ride takes you through scenic routes lined with orange and lemon groves. The gentle swaying of the tram, the breathtaking views, and the nostalgic feel make it an experience not to be missed.

Port de Sóller – A Peaceful Coastal Retreat

Upon arriving at Port de Sóller, you’ll be greeted by a tranquil bay surrounded by mountains. Whether you choose to take a stroll along the promenade, relax by the beach, or enjoy a meal with a sea view, this coastal village offers a more laid-back yet equally authentic charm compared to the town of Sóller.

The Flavors of Sóller

No visit to Sóller is complete without indulging in its local cuisine. I had the chance to dine at a beautiful restaurant with a charming patio – Re Organic. Restaurant 100% ecològic – where I tried a delicious Mallorcan soup (sopa mallorquina). Made with bread, vegetables, and olive oil, this hearty dish truly captures the essence of the island’s flavors.

I also enjoyed a serving of cannelloni, which was light yet full of rich flavors, all while sitting in a cozy green courtyard. If you appreciate fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients, this place is definitely worth a visit.

And, of course, freshly squeezed orange juice is an absolute must! Sóller is famous for its sweet and juicy oranges, making this simple yet refreshing drink a must-try. It’s like tasting the essence of a Mallorcan summer in every sip.

A Wedding Photoshoot in Sóller

During my visit, I also had the opportunity to do a wedding photoshoot for MarylaW in this magical setting. The charming streets, stunning mountain views, and historic architecture created the perfect backdrop for romantic photographs. What made the experience even more special was the warm and welcoming atmosphere—locals and visitors alike were genuinely interested and incredibly kind.

Sóller is undoubtedly a beautiful location for couples looking for a dreamy setting, whether for a wedding, an engagement, or simply a romantic getaway. The combination of breathtaking landscapes, historic charm, and peaceful Mediterranean vibes makes it a truly special place.

Charming Streets with Mountain Views

What captivated me the most were the narrow, cobbled streets of Sóller, leading towards the mountains. Strolling through them, you’ll find traditional stone houses with green shutters, colorful flowers adorning the facades, and a peaceful atmosphere that invites you to slow down and take in the beauty around you. Every now and then, as you turn a corner, you’ll be greeted by the stunning backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains, making the scenery truly unforgettable.

Sóller is a place that blends tradition, breathtaking landscapes, and a unique atmosphere. If you’re looking for an authentic experience in Mallorca, make sure to add it to your list!
